What real company would spend the time to put 50 + adds in to USHIP from the north east to London. They claim, they are car or wagon parts. Weight starts at 2 kg up to 40 kg. and there is well over fifty. Who is this, total brain dead company. You got it USHIP. Any one with a brain, would total the weight of whole or part of the shipment, give that weight and get a price. Steve Douglass 0798096**** There is a lot of good haulage business around, why is this company taking the *** out of us all. It is impossible to make a living, using the way this group of cow boys (USHIP) conduct business. Bad Press, bad TV, Bad Company

Bought a dog

I bought a dog and they went through you uship got the biggest run around and nonsense flying and driving that I ever heard of. They wanted the numbers from the card they were suppose to get paid from when the rules tell you not to. But they would not ship until they did. It was from Vermont to Virginia. They flew the dog to florida to get in a truck and drive back up the east coast. Then they wouldnt give me the name or phone number of the driver. They are absolutely *** don't do find someone else.

Will charge your credit card before services are rendered!! scam!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

this company will not only publish your phone number, address to the entire shipping community causing you to receive constant phone calls from other brokers and from individual truckers but they charge your credit card even before any services have been rendered or your car has been shipped. Any reputable Broker or Transporter will state, anyone who charges your credit card BEFORE you receive your goods are not to be trusted!!

I canceled my booking request within 24 hours of my request at a point when no transports accepted the request.

However, Uship didn't want to lose the bid so they kept it out there for an additional 3 days and charged my credit card. I have no transporter, no car delivery and I'm out $973 dollars and now Uship is stating i'm out a loss. This company is a scam. they lie to you about when something is being picked up, they lie to you about the price, they lie to you about your credit card charges.

they basically say anything you want to hear in order to get your credit card on file. Their customer service line doesn't get answered so you have to leave a message, their reps tell you anything to get you off the phone, then don't come through on their promises.

I have contacted the Attorney General and BBB. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

Commision fees

Look there is no way a carrier can make any money on this board. Every shipment is 1.00 or less a mile and even if you do get a couple of shipments to go with it your still loosing. Really the only one's making money is USHIP all carriers should ban together bar all shipments on USHIP and not haul for them until they and the people on there get their acts together. Sure its great if you don't have insurance, fuel tax and are running illegal. so if that's what you want hauling you merchandise please by all means go for it.

If you bid enough to even cover your running costs (fuel, truck upkeep, tires etc) and then add the absurd Uship fee the BID TOTAL always comes out at a figure above what the Uship customers think they should pay. All you can do on Uship is occasionally fill some space on a load but you won't make any real money fooling around with these people.

Guest

This is true, I can't run at $0.50 a mile with 6-7,000lb loads. I have insurance, MC and DOT legal as well.

But people without these can run a lot cheaper because all they have to pay for is gas and food. It makes it hard to run legal. Uship says they can do nothing about all the illegal operators on there website, they claim that there not a broker but when you take almost 20% of fees from them dosent that make them a broker? I mean it is hard for us legal people to get loads when all of the illegals are running them so cheap.

If you actually look at the legal drivers there the ones with higher rates because we have to with our bills we have to pay. We are letting the illegal transporters control the market on there because we can't match there rates.

I agree with everyone on this point. We're a small courier and small package delivery service and I've tried to bid on some things to moved locally and I've noticed that some of the bids are outrageously low, really how can a person move a product 1300 miles for $300? I would encourage people to not use uship at all.

Never pay anything through western union even cheap or something very touchy ....

I wanted a dog for my kids and I search on the net for Melbourne location. But the owner is either at Darwin or Perth that required transport fees. Then asking me my detail and told me about her sad story of having cancer and going on treatment soon. I said I can't afford if expensive. So, she is willing to give me the dog for free and just ask me to pay transportation fee which is $200 for one dog and $350 (for two) first thing tomorrow morning and someone from the transport com will contact me and ask my details. Then, the next day someone called me to ask me pay after receiving email for transportation of the pet. He doesn't speak English well with strong accent. Then they email me to certain western union address that I can go after get my address. I felt not right to pay through western union and call again on the number they send me (2 different numbers). However, the same guy picked up my phone and I feel even not right. I said can I pay BPAY or credit card? He said I can but still go to western union website. I felt getting weird. I though it's a big company why no company direct online pay but has to go through western union. But I still go anyway to find this western union as directed around my area. Luckily, the post office man asked me that if it's a gift or buying items? I said buy from internet but pay the transport com. They asked me again if I have received the goods yet? I said 'no'. Then they said be careful of scam. Because as soon as you sent the money, you cannot tract them and you can't complain or get refund. Nothing to protect you at all. So, I think again and call the uship com. I said: I would not pay until I see the puppy. And plus I never met this Mrs passy. We only communicate through email because she said she is sick has cancer so can't hear very clear and insist on communicate through email only. She even asked me what religious I am. Hmmm.... Must be very careful. So, I told the manager of uship again that I am only willing to pay $50. And you are a scam, I just lost $50. First he said no, the end he said ok for $75 and asked me to pay the rest $125 after I received the pet. I felt weird... I called my husband, and he felt weird toothed asked me to double check it. So, I email mrs passy to get a copy of her driving license. She said she didn't bring it and she got a driver because she is sick. It's getting strange. As I know, if she is rich that can have driver why bother send the dog away? Then she said she only got $50 left for the last money which pay the uship com already. Hmmm.... Story doesn't match... She didn't send me her details when I asked. So incheck on uship scam. It comes out many complaint and scam... Lucky for me not pay anything yet. So, my advise is not to pay anything you buy through internet except PayPal. Never pay via western union. Never give too much details and asked their details first and landline number for security and their address. However, the add company must also responsible for letting this scam advertising happened. Uship needs to act about it coz they using their names.

Uship - Legal Transporters Review from New York City, New York

I agree with most. UShip is running a site that allows anyone to transport goods. They do not require anyone to be legal transporters. I use the site to fill empty space. The "deposit" which is actually the carriers fee is outrageous. When the site first started it was 11% - 15% depending on the bid amount. Now it is 20%. It is a complete ripoff. But you either go without that spot filled or you take what you can get. I am a legal US DOT and MC licensed and fully insured transport company. I am not an 18 wheeler. But that does not mean I am not running legally. I am in the "Hotshot" classification. I pay large insurance premiums to be legal. I also run under all the FMCSA rules including running a legal log book. Not everyone on there is running illegally. There are still some honest legal companies out there.

How do I find an honest shipper like you? That site contributes to unwitting consumers like myself (until I poked around) to trust any old Joe and his truck.

Guest

yes the fees are outrageous but heres the thing if you post a load on there for heavy equipment they charge you a $100 then when a legit broker or provider and even illegal ones bid say $3000 to move it uship adds another $700 to it so you see a total bid or as they call it (because uship makes them say all inclusive) of $3700 funny thing is uship just made $800 off of you and makes the provider look like the crook so when you book it they get their $800 right away leaving you and the provider to hash things out and as a provider if they tell you they get suspended they are nailing the customer twice! and that is the fact as i have been a provider on uship for 4 years now and am still amazed at the amount of return customers because they have this false sense if they go through uship they are protected. hahaha what a joke

Guest

I agree that the uShip fees are outrageous, but they are not the "carrier's booking fee" or "service provider's booking fee" as uShip likes to call them. That deposit, is simply uShip's fee that they charge the carrier or service provider, and do not allow that to be disclosed to the shipper.

uShip is horribly deceptive. I think they're a front for their major automobile brokers.

Stolen Quad-

My son went on U-Ship to have his quad shipped from Edmonton,Alberta to Courtenay,BC. He arranged a deal with one of the carriers and the bike was picked up on November 22,2014.

My son got a call this morning telling him his quad was gone, and it's not insured. Apparently, the truck hauling it out here broke down in Kelowna and he had it towed to a garage. He left the quad in an open truck overnight and it was stolen.

U-Ship responded by saying they had contacted the carrier and went on to explain how they are not responsible.

The shipper is responsible for the load disappearance, plain and simple. If they do not have insurance to cover loss or damage to their load, they should not even be allowed to quote on jobs on Uship, which I would hold THEM responsible for.

Uship should demand a copy of their insurance before they are allowed to bid on anything.

If the shipper says he doesn't not have insurance, SUE ! Think about it, if he really stole it himself, which he may, or may have not, we cannot let anyone get away with this !

Sue them! Watch how fast they settle before it ever gets to Court.

I've been trying to purchase a puppy and oodle.com for dogs and uship are the biggest scams....every person I spoke to so I could purchase a dog had the same exact lines to the T!! It's pretty sad that people are that desperate to rip hard working people off!

This company needs to be exposed for its scammers that they allow! I've per based a puppy through a breeder online before and it went well we paid cash or certified check on delivery...our breeder had a contract for the shipper that we paid when we RECEIVED the puppy!

Tip! NEVER buy a puppy and pay before you have them...there are legit shipping companies out there that WILL do payment on delivery...anything other is a rip off!

THEY ARE SIMPLY CROOKS...ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY. NOT PROVIDING A GOOD SERVICE.

I challenge anyone to pull up 10 autos on the site. Every one will be flooded with the same shippers general statement…from . MONTWAY. Go look for yourself. Yet you’re not allowed to post any possible way for someone to contact you. They also don’t want the person shipping stuff to know that UShip collects not only from the shipper, but 20% from the transporters as well. Then they’re in bed with this outfit . MONTWAY that will haul for pennies because they have so many trucks on the road. I wish the tax man would investigate the crooks at UShip.

Motaway is also a broker. They will book transporting your car 700 miles for $600 then find a driver to deliver it for $300 its a rip off.

That's how they have so many reviews. If you want your vehicle transported go to centraldispatch.com where transporters can call you before any price is mentioned and you can talk, none of this behind the curtains stuff that ship does.

Uship - Shipping Charge Review from Manhattan, New York

I paid $500 for a puppy that was supposedly being shipped by your company I received an email and a phone call from a man who said he worked for your company. He confirmed the price and my address. Told me the payment method. After I sent the money with a reloadit Pak card he sent an email with the flight and delivery times. Then an hour after the puppy was supposedly on an airplane I got an email and a phone call from him stating that I needed to send him another $1250 for a different crate because the airline rejected the shipping crate the seller of the pup supplied. I tried calling your company before I sent the money but couldn't find a phone number on your website. Its nice to be scammed and your company should be proud you took away a autistic Childs birthday. Why to go.

Uship - Shipping Service Review from Middlebury, Connecticut

U ship is more along the lines of u will be scammed, 1 they charge extremely high fees the highest in the industry. 2 they are not even legally registered to do business as a broker in any state in the country. 3 they do not have registered Shipping contacts they have illegal shippers unregistered agents shipping for them, the bulk of the carriers are unlicensed and under insured or not insured at all. 4 they do not qualify anyone for shipping of any kind of items, so it's a roll of the dice when you ship with them. If your credit card is changed they do not refund your money if you're items are not delivered or damaged. 5 I have set up numerous accounts to prove this point micheyshipper101 is one and MovingMiamiandtheeastcoast 7s another, neither of these accounts were ever verified or asked for license and insurance from over 350 deliveries.

Uship does everything WRONG.

uship was paid by me on a Sunday to ship my Harley from FL. to Oh. I explained to uship the bike had to be in Cleveland by Friday. They said no problem and that R L Carriers would pick up the bike on Wednesday between 12 noon and 4pm I believed uship so I booked a flight to cleaveland as the deal I had made the guy in OH was trade my HD for his Hino box truck. Well R L Carriers never showed uo so I called uship back and was told by some child that they hired that in fact my bill of lading somehow got tossed in there trash bin so the never sent it R L. So I told her that bike had to be in OH. by firday as the guy in OH. was going out of town for 2 weeks and needed to wrap this deal up before leaving. She said the best uship could do was get it there on the following Tuesday OR she would refund me my money now and give me a 10.00 dollar coupon for my next purchase with uship WTF. I had to rent a Penske truck one way 467.00 plus fuel 455.00 lost my flight money 160.00 and a motel room 69.00 total 1151.00 my uship price was 375.00 difference of 775 give or take. After the trip I got on the phone with more nitwits from usit oops uship all said its not there problem they blamed me, R L, the way the moon had lined up with Saturn but THEY kept saying ustrip opps uship is not at fault. Well a month went by and out of the blue this nit wit named Brandon Cruz calls me from ush*t oops uship customer service and asked about my experience with uship when I told him he said oh I heard all about you in our meeting and that he had to go and in the middle of me speaking he hung up. I called right back and he hung up I called for days and no one new of him. I called my bank and asked if uship had in fact refunded my money and they had NOT. those *** lied again 6 more calls to usit to get them to pay me my money that was to be paid 40 days ago. If you have read this far remember USHIT has only been in business for 10 years they told me they are just the middle man or as I call them ( skimmers ) all they do is steel money from both sides and when theres a problem they all hide like little girls behind mommy's skirt including the Owner floorMatt Chasen. Don't use uship and they will go away, just like lawyers.
