Don't use Uship

Bought a pair of Macaws from a gal. She used Uship. We agreed on the price of 600.00 dollars. The shipping company called and said the birds would be delivered. Then 1 hour before delivery they said they needed 1500.00 more because of pet insurance. Don't deal with anyone from this place. I am out 600.00 Thank goodness I never gave them more!! Yes I was sick of talking to that Arab voice that you cannot understand. Hope they get what they have coming to them. Never, never, never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please people be careful of scams!

uShip
#309407

Speaking from uShip, Inc., this instance is NOT in anyway related to our company. This experience describes a situation where a person or group have fraudulently used uShip’s name, logo, etc. without consent.

uShip is an online shipping marketplace where those who need shipping services can list their items and receive bids from independent transporters registered on the site.

uShip is NOT involved in the actual shipment of any items, and uShip is NOT involved in the purchase or sale of any items.

We have been made aware of scams occurring on various online classified sites where the seller of an item makes false claims about uShip and/or impersonates a uShip employee in an attempt to trick individuals into sending them a non-bank wire transfer payment for non-existent goods.

We are extremely sorry to hear that you fell victim to one of these scams. You are strongly encouraged to report this fraud to the Internet Crime Complaint Center and the classified site where the ad was found.

My one question for you... did the lady you were getting them from phone # start with (706) and did she have a accent korean or something?

UShip not customer friendly when problems arise.

I had a problem when the uShip Service Provider--Carolina Piano Movers--made a promise to me they did not keep. They damaged the piano while moving it. A problem not discovered until after I had posted a favorable review at the uShip site. Ryan of Carolina Piano Movers told me in 4 separate phone calls to have the damage repaired and he would reimburse me. When no check ever arrived, he stopped receiving my phone calls. I contacted uShip to change my review. They refused to allow it, even after Ryan promised them by e-mail that he would contact me and never did. So his word is no good and uShip would do nothing to help. They did say I could change the review if I got a court order. Absurd! And clearly a company not interested in those who book shipping through them. How much would it cost to get an attorney and a court order? uShip clearly knows this and that is why they have such a ridiculous policy. If you use uShip, they will not protect you or help if there is a problem.

I responded to an ad for a puppy in San Jose CA. Suddenly a woman who "just got transferred to Alabama" from San Jose and whose "daughter had suddenly died" said she would send two puppies the next day by noon to CA. Her email address was marialefton10@yahoo.com. Of...

Uship is impossible to contact with a problem by phone

I like that uship offers their service, but I had a bad experience with a mover, left a negative feedback and they did not post it. so now people are still susceptible to this mover's antics. Also, I have emailed (no phone # to contact them) and keep getting the same email back and forth, impossible to get a quick and easy resolution to get my refund back. Not good customer service at all. Same customer service rep contacted me at least 6 times- did not even bother to look at how much money I paid through their site, did not know how much owed, and 3 times now I have gone through their cancellation/refund process and keep getting the same process/email back. I would like to get my refund please uship! I even emailed for a manager to contact me- no, same rep with apologies and the SAME instructions AGAIN.

BEEN ANOTHER USHIP VICTIM?

Contact: trotterautotransport@hotmail.com if you have been scammed on uship or if you have been forced to take their illegal safepay escrow scam.

Charges are being compiled and the more people that help file, the more it will help get a class action suit against uship. If you have lost revenue in any form due to uship's poor business practices, if you have been kicked off for notifying uship of a scammer or you feel they singled you out for a personal vendetta, contact Lonnie @ Trotter and get the needed documentation to add your info to the report.

SPEAK UP, TAKE CONTROL. YOU CAN HELP SHUT DOWN USHIP ONCE AND FOR ALL AND GET A SETTLEMENT FOR LAST WAGES FOR THEIR POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES

You are correct, they don't want to hear from you once they have your money. These folks are pure scam artists hiding behind a neat looking website.

Call Matt Chasen (one of the Owners and head scammer) here is his personal cell number: (512)773-7646

UShip is a complete scam!

I responded to two seperate listings for 2 seperate dogs with 2 seperate email addresses. I received the same reply from both emails about this man acquiring a new job as an auditor. The people from UShip continuously attempted to contact me, then finally sent me an email stating I must send Western Union now for the puppy to a person named Martha in a country called Cameroon. I researched the address listed for the sender of the puppy...Mich Paul in Miami, Fla, found the address online and it was to a Dog Training Business. When I spoke with the owner there, Of course, he had no knowledge of any rottweilers or the person named Mich Paul! Complete Scam!!!!!!!!!!!

I see that some of the commenters on this post are aware of the official uShip site. uShip.com is an online shipping marketplace where customers can create a listing of the items they need shipped and receive bids, or direct quotes, of what it would cost to have that shipment delivered.

We are sorry that some of you may have fallen victim to the types of scams mentioned in the original post.

That experience is an instance of somebody fraudulently using our company name, logo, etc.

without approval. We are aware of scams occurring on various classified sites where the seller of an item makes false claims about uShip and/or impersonates a uShip representative in an attempt to trick individuals into sending them a non-bank wire transfer payment for non-existent goods.

The REAL www.uship.com does not work the way described in the complaint. Contact informationk such as email, phone number and address is never released until a bid is accepted by the person who placed the shipment.

Feedback info is always there for the person listing the shipment to review. AND no one from the REAL uship ever contacts the parties making money demands. The fees are between the shipper and the transporter. It appears that the same thing has happened to uship which occured with Craigslist.

Something which started out good [and it still is] but scammers find a way to expolit the system.

Also the REAL uship has contact info for complaints from people who list shipments, as well as attornies. They are legit.

This is not uship.com this is a scam artist using a fake uship name. read the feedback of any provider on uship and you will see the track record of the items they service and be able to *** out the bad apples.

I love u ship. also pay when you get your item not before ever.....

The same thing happened to us and we heard from someone in Camaroon also. We checked with the TSA and they will NOT fly animals anywhere during the summer months due to high temperatures. Plus when you receive emails they aren't even literate so you know you are dealing with a foreigner and they send them at really odd times like at 3 or 4 in the morning.

Uship in Roslyn, Washington - Cardinal517

I've had a mixed bag with UShip. I've had two deliveries that were for the most part timely and cost effieicent. Then again I had cardinal517 drop my boat in So.Dakota and still want to be paid for his mileage to that point. Problem is that the boat was supposed to be brought to Idaho. Hmmmmm, missed it by a mere thousand miles. To top it off I received threatening calls and letters where he was going to Bla Bla Bla. I simply explained it to him that I wouldn't pay a *** if I almost climaxed either. I ended up having to go get the boat from some strangers front yard.

Cardinal517 is not properly licensed and insured, and he bids up or down just to manipulate the bids other shippers might place. I will avoid his services.
