I have been trying to get on the Uship website but all links seem to be no longer available...is anyone else having that same problem? I encountered this once before and I'm not sure what happened. Did they up and run? Recently, I questioned their contract wording...

Hello,

We apologize if you were not able to log into the site. We may have been updating one of our servers at the time. We also suggest that you update your browser to the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer to minimize receiving errors.

If you received a red flag, then that means one of your statements within the Q&A board or Bid Details was found to be in violation of the User Agreement. Our intention is not to hide the fact that Service Providers pay a fee for every matched shipment, but rather to minimize confusion for the shipping customer. Keep in mind that the customer may pay an Auction Service Fee upon accepting a bid, depending upon the commodity being shipped. We do not want shipping customers to confuse your match fee with their charge. If you are going to breakdown your bid, then make sure to state that each portion (including YOUR uShip fee) is part of your all-inclusive bid.

If you were suspended for having 3 red flags within a 60 day period, then you would no longer be able to place bids to book new shipments. However, an account suspension does not prevent you from logging into your account to complete your currently booked shipments. Furthermore, you are welcome to petition to have your account reinstated for a flag suspension. When in doubt, read our FAQs on the site and contact Member Support.

USHIP MAKES THE RULES AS THEY GO TO ***

This website is a ripoff from beginning to end. You can't say anything about $$$, their fees they charge both the customer and the haulers, on anything they can see, if you mention anything to customers about hiring legal/compliant service providers and steering clear of those that aren't they bust you. They claim to be a reputable site, but they will do anything for the money, which includes letting both legal and illegal haulers work from their site. The DOT should do everything they can to this group to stop them or at least make them abide by the laws.

uShip.com is a neutral venue for customers that need to move hard-to-ship items to connect with independent, feedback-rated transporters on the site. When registering as a Service Provider, that person chooses to abide by the uShip User Agreement which states that they can only bid on items that they are legally able to haul.

Thus, uShip does not screen any Service Providers. However, we advise that customers request the necessary information from the Service Providers to verify their credentials, identity and such. These include: insurance information, bills of lading, DOT/MC numbers, references, etc. uShip also provides information on what to ask Service Providers in our Safe Shipping Guide, which is available for free to every user.

We also recently partnered with CarrierWatch, a third-party to monitor legal authority.

Only a Service Provider who is CarrierWatch verified can display their DOT/MC numbers on their profile.

This helps to prevent people from using false authority information. We hope that customers do their due diligence when it comes to choosing a Service Provider to deliver their shipment.

I was ripped off from Loveland Auto Tranport aka, Fair Deal Auto, Loveland Fair Deal, Berthoud Fair Deal, Loveland Auto Investments, All American Transport (whatever they are calling themselves this week). They accepeted my bid on Uship, picked up the car with a bill of lading belong to a residential address, kept it somewhere else, tried to get more money from me for shipping it, and then extorted a cash payment from me to get it off their lot.

UShip still collected their deposit even though the product wasn't shipped and continues to allow these scam artists with an F rating with the BBB, judgments against them, etc to continue to operate to steal cars from customers on their web site. They aren't even properly insured. The complaints against Loveland Auto Investments have been going on for a year, (there were other complaints prior under a different business name) and Uship never takes them off their site.

It is uships fault and it is a scam!!!! Sotheby's wouldn't take a commission for selling a fake Picasso when they know it's fake!

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THOSE THAT FEEL THEY HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF OR TREATED BADLY, ESPECIALLY WHEN MONEY AND COMMUNICATION IS INVOLVED OR CONTROLLED. THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID THIS IS TO ALLOW AND ENCOURAGE OPEN COMMUNICATION BETWEEN ALL PARTIES AND TO LET THE SERVICE PROVIDERS AND THE CUSTOMER CONTROL HOW AND WHEN DOLLARS CHANGE HANDS AND TO DISCUSS THE TERMS OF THE DEAL THAT BOTH SIDES FEEL ARE IMPORTANT, SO THERE ARE NO HIDDEN EXPECTATIONS.

THERE IS ONLY ONE PLACE I KNOW OF THAT THESE COMPLAINTS CAN'T HAPPEN, THAT IS THIS NEW WEBSITE SHIPALMOSTANYTHING.COM

THEY ENCOURAGE COMPLETE AND OPEN COMMUNICATION AND DO NOT CHARGE ANYTHING EVER TO THE CONSUMER AND DO NOT CHARGE COMMISSIONS EVER TO THE SERVICE PROVIDER.

FOR ANYONE THAT IS TIRED OF UNCONTROLLABLE COSTS OF COMMISSIONS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEAK DIRECTLY WITH THE PERSON OR COMPANY THEY WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH, YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT SHIPALMOSTANYTHING.COM, IT IS NEW AND JUST GETTING STARTED, BUT THE MORE PEOPLE TRY IT AND USE IT, YOU WILL SEE HOW THESE COMPLAINTS SHOULD STOP

The following information is directed toward the original poster (Bitsy4643). You will receive a red flag if your communication within the Q&A board on the listing or Bid Details is found to be in violation of the User Agreement. Keep in mind our flagging system also applies to profiles. Upon registering as a Service Provider, you choose to abide by the terms & conditions that are clearly stated in the User Agreement.

According to what you wrote, you were red flagged for posting contact information publicly on the site. Not only is this policy clearly stated in the User Agreement, but there are reminders next to every place you could post a response letting you know not to post contact information. Furthermore, Service Providers should highlight what services they can offer the customer, and not what other bidders may or may not have.

We understand that users may be unaware of our policies, and this is why each user is allowed 3 red flags before they are suspended from the site. A user does have the opportunity to petition to have their account reinstated for a flag suspension.

Lastly, we offer a Safe Shipping Guide on the site that any user can read to make better informed decisions about their shipment.

Uship supports shippers and screws consumers

I agreed with the shipper to do the job. I paid the deposit. The shipper, Shawn Turner of recovering, strung us along for 2 months, returning one out of 10 calls, saying he "forgot" to do the job, etc. It was clear he wasn't responsible enough to do the job, so we told him we wanted to cancel. He said he would return the deposit after we cancelled with uship . Once we cancelled, of course he never returned our $600. Uship cannot do anything not even freeze his account. They are completely useless. They claim to be "neutral" yet they do not support consumers at all. They had never advised us to get a contract, numbers, etc. I assumed with the huge amount we paid uship ($160) they would be responsible to at least freeze the shipper's account if they steal money. Avoid them at all costs.

Uship does freeze service providers' account if the customer complains. They do so until the problem is resolved.

I've had it happen.

I don't know why they didn't help you out that way. Be a thorn in their side until they do.

To clarify, uShip is not a freight forwarder or broker because we do not employ carriers nor select them for the shipping customer. Instead we are a neutral venue that empowers the shipping customer to choose the Service Provider that meets their needs by reviewing their profile and communication between them. We also offer a Safe Shipping Guide full of tips and resources that every user can read to help make a better, informed decision.

USHIP.COM changes the wording again! This is done to make those posting the "truth" look like fools. It's the "dirt" that UShip doesn't want you to know!

It used to read:

This profile belongs to someone who is no longer registered member (Account suspended) site:uship.com

It now reads:

This member is currently suspended from the uShip site. Please contact Member Support if you have questions

Use the ADVANCED Google search option by copy/paste of the phrase above and a search of the domain name UShip.Com

Our Service Providers are welcome to add their own terms & conditions to their bids, as long as they do not violate any policies on the User Agreement. As for the match fees, our payment process is clearly stated within our User Agreement and throughout the bidding and booking process. Any user may contact Member Support or read our FAQs if there are questions or concerns.

I got scammed by Uship too. Their carrier picked up my car, never delivered it and then demanded a $1000 in cash to return it.

They've got a ton of complaints against Fair Deal/Loveland Auto Transport/Loveland Auto Investments with the BBB, Fair Trade Commission, Larimer Sheriff department.

Uship is just a place for scam artists. Worse than ebay.

Uship in Eugene, Oregon - U-Ship is a ripoff.

I recently dealt with U-Ship on a car shipment for the first time. I found the hard way that they are strictly a clearing house for shipments. They list your request on their website and then companies that are contracted with them bid on the request. For this service U-Ship takes 15% of the total as a "deposit" from the shipper and they also get a cut from the transport company. They never touch anything except your money and drive up the cost of the shipping. I recommend to avoid them if at all possible. There are plenty of reputable companies willing to give quotes on the internet for any shipment you may have. My bad for not doing enough research first, their bad for driving up the cost of shipping.

Check out www.theshippingdock.com Its a new site that is similar to Uship other than: 1. They do not charge you anything to post your stuff.

2. Only charge the carrier a $10.00 flat fee for winning the bid. 3.

It is way easier to use. It is well worth checking this site out....check it out for yourselves!

Information you won't find any other way!

For a good sampling of what you may experience when using one of the 1000’s of illegally operating Carriers on Uship, just GOOGLE the entire phrase below. Click on the results and read through the feedback of the 100’s if not 1000’s of incidents of stolen money, property, property damages, extortion and abandoned property.

These profiles were suspended, but the damage was already done. The suspensions are done to keep this information from damaging the site‘s reputation and not let the truth trump the propaganda that the site publishes all over the net.

GOOGLE THE FOLLOWING:
