Not getting service i paid for!
I dont haul for free
I was to pick up a load in Southern Ontario Canada. Here in Canada there are several areas with no cell phone service.
The uShip agent could not get back to me as there was no service. When I received a call from them 2 hours later I tried to explain that here in Canada there are great distances of no cell phone service. The customer had said yes to me hauling but you should cancel the entire deal saying I was lying about lack of cell phone service. I later found out the company was charged twice for their shipment.
I was also banned from the site since they accused me of not picking up the shipment due to the lack of answering my phone. I have tried to appeal this decision and then told in the United States there is cell phone service everywhere so Canada is the same.
The lady went on to tell me that she was not stupid. I'm glad I'm no longer using uShip.

Former Uship carrier tells all!
I have a legitimate business and wanted to use my trucks in our off season. But to operate legally and to go from "private carrier" hauling our own product to "for hire" meant I have to apply for a MC number from the USDOT.
This is very expensive and time consuming process. And if I wanted to haul vehicles I needed $1,000,000 liability insurance and have a Class 9 hazardous material rating. The total cost $11,000 to do it right. Then I have to compete with a bunch of people driving around with their personal pick up trucks hauling all kinds of trailers, some with vehicles hanging over the edge.
Geez people, what are you thinking!? Their profiles show no USDOT or MC authority so probably their own personal insurance. I would be underbid all day long. UShip states clearly that shippers need to verify their carrier's insurance and operating authority.
But seems like that doesn't happen to often. If a carrier hauls your cargo across state lines and is illegal and gets pulled over your cargo can be impounded. And what if they have an accident? There are some decent carriers on UShip, but the nature of the site attracts those who skirt federal regulations.
UShip take a hefty fee, then add tolls, fuel and other expenses and I couldn't compete. So, my advice is BUYER BEWARE! Cheaper is not always better! Do your due diligence and know your carrier and have them prove that they are legal.
If not you are at fault for what happens. The fact that every carrier needs lots of bids is because of the low prices people want to pay. Haulers have to keep their vehicles loaded. And when shippers don't respond to emails, well that makes for a lot of wasted time and effort looking for jobs.
So I am out. I cannot operate in this type of arena. That is what I get for wanting to do it right.
But please be careful if you are looking for what might not be the bargain you think. UShip is definitely "You get what you pay for"
Uship - Customer Care Review
They keep 20 percent to give you shippers phone number
Uship keeps 20 percent to give you a phone number of someone who claims to be a transporter. Then they don't allow the transporters to discuss how much uship is charging or they will kick you off of their site!
What a joke. Do your due diligence and hire a licensed transporter directly. Check them through the free federal motor carrier safety admin..."fmcsa safer website". Also get some insurance verification before trusting them with your valuables.
Call their insurance company and verify that they have current cargo insurance.
Get added as a certificate holder and verify that the person sending this certificate is actually the insurance company and not some wanna be making a fake ins cert with some typewriter or copy and paste as many drivers have attempted to get me with this trick. You wouldn't believe how many transporters are riding around with no insurance!

I received a email fro Uship as my move was underway and the driver was on their way to perform pick up that a review was being performed and asked for information. I provided info about my move sent in the email, completed the pickup with my driver.
Then I receive a email stating that per my request my move was canceled.
I never canceled anything. So now im out 753 which has not been returned to me after several attempts UShip has not made any effort to rectify this situation by simply reversing the cancellation and reinstating my move.

WARNING!!!! I got scammed by Lynn in AZ.
Wish I would of googled her name. PUPPY WAS SICK! Smelled like a farm animal when I got him. I took him to the vet in CT.
This puppy didnt come from a breeder in FL like she said. Pictures don't even match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off, puppies are not for sale on Uship - that seems to be a common scam. Second - buyer beware if you're hiring a discount pet transporter.
They are what we call "packers and stackers". Their vans are loaded with as many animals as they can get in. They don't care that have drive 3 other states to zig zag back you as long as they get as many "loads" as they can. I am not ashamed to shame them, they know who they are.
We have been in business since 2014 and I am proud to say, we have NEVER lost an animal, NEVER had an animal injured while in our care. _ Paw Paws Express
I was ripped off from the lady Lynn with the puppies. I never revived my dog. My sister did and it died 4 days later
Was this recently or the past. Is she still selling puppies!
She changes her numbers.
I’m so sorry you lost the puppy. I tried warning people once I found out.
The lady is illegally selling puppies that are sick from a puppy mill. When I saw the condition of the puppies and found out that she’s claiming she’s breeding these puppies and lying about the age and where they are coming from I told her I couldn’t ship for her.
I reported it and now she’s claiming I took money because she’s mad I reported her. Her name is Lynn she’s from AZ and she goes by many other last names. She has the owners Walmart to Walmart or pay other ways electronically. These puppies people are paying for are in the thousands that she claims comes from FL or her sister which is a lie.
They are sick. Kennel cough and no way would I transport a sick puppy who have fake health certificates because I’d have to bleach all the crates and areas they touch and it’s not worth the risk. I reported the real breeder she gets them from and contacted the pa state. I have many texts and pics to support my statement.
I am Samantha.
Beware of buying rottis from her I’ve posted warnings on hoolby and everywhere she posts. She makes people pick them up in Massachusetts.
She is now on Facebook as Samantha Didi
What if that’s not her real name?
