Make a long story short, I placed a bid on UShip to have my car transported. Loveland Auto Ship accepted the bid and picked up my car. They said it would be in Texas in three days. Two weeks later, many excuses and lies later, the car was still in Loveland and they extorted a $1000 in cash from me before they would give me my car back.

Loveland Auto is actually a company called Fair Deal Auto/Loveland Automotive Investments that has a long history of stealing from people in Colorado. They have more than a dozen complaints with them with the BBB. They usually don't have valid business licenses or proper insurance. There are complaints on line ranging from them picking up cars locally, telling them they are being transported, reselling them to some unsuspecting person in the mean time, taking cash off the new buyer, never giving title, keeping the car and scrapping it out to picking up cars and then extorting money from people to get it back, picking up cars and wrecking them for insurance scams...the list goes on and on.

The address on the bill of lading for Loveland Auto Ship is a residential address. You don't know you're dealing with the scam artists until things go awry. I had to get the sheriff and courts involved. The owner of the company gets judgments against him all the time and just moves his assets and opens up under a new name. His name is "John R. Pipe" which is actually not really his name. He's a kiwi with a long history of criminal activity and theft and is wanted in New Zealand and Australia.

Uship bids for cars are based in a company called All American Transport. They just take a piece of the bid. They don't care about your business or what happens after that. The whole set up is just a market place for scam artists. All American Transport and Uship don't care who bids on their site. They just want to collect the fees.

If you find out your car has been picked up by these scam artists, it's best just to call the police or district attorney immediately because the longer they have your vehicle, the more you're going to get scammed.

They use several addresses including:

616 McKinley Avenue Loveland Colorado 80537.

6503 East County Raod 14 Loveland Colorado

2400 North Lincoln Avenue Loveland Colorado

1505 South Lincoln Avenue Loveland Colorado

Various business names include Fair Deal Auto, Loveland Auto Transport, Berthoud Fair Deal, Berthoud Auto Transport, Loveland Automotive Investments.

The owner is listed as John R. Pipe, but as I said, he's using a fictitious name. His personal address is 616 McKinley Loveland.

Monetary Loss: $2000.

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado

I live near Loveland,Co and totoally agree here what was said about Fair Deal Auto Sales and U-Ship.

I am trying to make a living by doing vehicle drive away and trailer and boat towing w/my pick-up.If I could find a regular job I would but w/this economy and a conviction on my record for Domestic Violence (MY fault and I don't blame any one else!!!) it's tough trying to find work.Anyways, U-Ship is bunch of crooked liars!! They do NOT tell customers that the deposit that the customer pays does NOT go to the person providing the service but instead goes in to U-Ships picket to cover the service providers bid fee. Also TSP's undercut each other on U-Ship.

Also U-Ship penalizes TSp's if they have so many cancellations by charging them more in bid fees.

Any ways if some one out there needs an honest worker and is willing to give me a chance I'd like that. I have a class B CDL,good mvr and a 1 ton diesel pick-up if needed.I am SICK of U-Ship
