I hired Loyal Pratt of NH through Uship to pick up a glass chandelier for me in Atlanta. It arrived in a large box and appeared to be ok.

Loyal and I moved the box into my garage where it stayed until I was ready to mount it, many months later. I hired an electrician and we moved the box from it's storage place into my living room. As we unpacked the box, I noticed 3 of the chandelier's arms off the center support. One arm was broken in half and the other two were snapped off the center support.

I emailed Loyal and he promised to pay for the damage if I sent him the cost.

I forwarded the estimate from my restorer ($750) and never heard from Loyal again. I have since found out that he has damaged other shipping goods.
