I would advise any consumer to avoid purchasing the uShip Protection Plan. After a piece of furniture was damaged in transit, my Protection Plan was useless.
First, I was not sent a detailed list of 'exclusions' related to the plan due to an internet issue on the company website. I was told that my policy would not be honored due to a detail that I was not aware of when I signed the documentation because I did not receive the full contract. Secondly, I was asked to send a large volume of detailed information TWICE about my shipment (so that the case could be resolved) only to have my case denied.
I am now seeing so many complaints online about the uShip Protection Plan. I wish I had seen these reviews earlier.

I shipped a part from Florida to our business in New York, and they charged me extra, claiming we were residential. Three weeks after they delivered, they charged my credit card again.
Any company that just charges extra without calling is not trustworthy. Why get a quote if they are just going to charge extra?

I still have not heard back from Uship
I submitted pictures of the fully intact pallet that it was strapped to, and also pictures of the heavy-duty plastic wrap that was wrapped in multiple layers to protect the controls. Upon delivery, it was found that the controls were broken, the bubble wrap was torn open, the 900-pound machine was shifted sideways on the pallet, and the pallet itself was cracked in half. I submitted a claim to Uship, only to be told that my case was denied because it wasn't wrapped properly. My question is, how can Uship or any shipper say that it's okay to break a pallet in transit?
Definitely not fair and not right. They say you can appeal the case, which I did, but after 4 days, I haven't heard from anyone.

MOTJR LLC - Don't use this shipper. They delivered a bed and tried to hide that they broke the leg with two small nails.
The customer didn't realize that the bed was damaged. After the fact, she tried to contact them, and he told her to never contact them again.

I engaged your ship service to transport my BMW from a dealership to my San Diego home. Unfortunately, the experience was subpar lack of communication, a significant delay in delivery, and the delivery occurring in the dark.
Despite paying extra for coverage, my car arrived with a cracked back window. The shipper refused my claim, stating it wasn't their responsibility.
I've contacted the BBB and plan to involve the district attorney's office in Austin, Texas. This seems like an insurance issue, and I'm dissatisfied with the service provided.
Preferred solution: Price reduction

I've had nothing but problems with uship and my company will no longer do shipments off of uShip. I've had several problems everything from customers not releasing payment it should just takes that payment to customers releasing payment and you should still not releasing payment to me. I have acquired downtime and hardship dealing with uship

I've had two providers cancel due to equipment breakdowns. I had contracts with each of them through UH.
I also have a third provider who just called me.
He stated that if I wanted transportation today - which you agreed to on either the 16th or 17th - he would surcharge me $150. I'm not even sure I want him to proceed tomorrow.

No one is calling me back. All I want is a human being to confirm pick-up tomorrow. I will not pay $55 to JustAnswer just to get confirmation.

It's been a struggle using your website
I found the website to be very confusing and it sometimes didn't work. Also, some of your providers were not trustworthy, and one actually left me stranded for over a week because he walked away from the shipment.
He claimed he had equipment problems and then just gave me the cold shoulder and wouldn't answer phone calls regarding when he claimed he would be showing up. I think he changed his mind and didn't feel his quote was holding up because he was in competition with his uncle for the haul of my fifth wheel. It seemed to be an internal family feud going on, and I got caught in the middle.
Both should be banned from using your service in the future, they made it very difficult for the customer who is RV stuck on someone else's property. I have found another provider through your service and will move forward.
- Has a list of providers that can be on the job but charges the consumer a fee to use the site makes it
- Consumer should not have make payments or percentage of payment to use the site that should be figured into the total bed by the provider

I wanted to buy a travel trailer that was advertised by someone in Kelowna BC. I find out that the trailer is in Prince Rupert BC and Uship is handling the transaction.
I received acceptance of the transaction and am suppose to go to a Pay in Person location and make several transactions with QR codes of $999 for each transaction.
IS THIS HOW TO DO TRANSACTION FOR Uship?
